Fifty-one people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 27,058, and the death rate stands at 1.76 percent.

The current positivity rate is 6.64 percent, while the total positivity rate stands at 16.46 percent. A total of 28,615 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours.
At least 3,873 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 14,90,541, and the recovery rate at 97.02 percent.
Among the 51 deceased, 32 were men, and 19 were women. Of them, one was between 11-20 years old, two between 31-40, five were between 41-50, 15 between 51-60, and 28 were above 60 years old, added the release.

A total of 25,388 samples were tested across the country and at least 1,953 new infections were recorded in this period, taking the total number of people infected to 1,532,366 added the release.

The current positivity rate is 7.69 percent while the overall positivity rate stands at 16.53 percent.

At least 4,112 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 1,482,933 and the recovery rate is 96.77 percent.

Among the 41 deceased, 25 were men and 16 were women.

Of them, two were between 11-20 years old, one between 31-40 years, seven between 41-50, 14 between 51-60, 10 between 61-70, six between 71-80 and one between 81-90 years old, added the release.

At least 3,168 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 1,475,235 and the recovery rate is 96.51 percent.

Among the 48 deceased, 22 were men and 26 were women.

Of them, one was between 31-40 years, four between 41-50, 13 between 51-60, 17 between 61-70, nine between 71-80 and three between 81-90, and one between 91-100 years old, added the release.
