Joe Cordina and Edward Vazquez have both made weight for their highly-anticipated IBF super-featherweight title fight in Monte Carlo on Saturday evening.
But, it was Cordina’s fans that stole the show on Friday afternoon – they were heard screaming and chanting his name at the casion as he made his way onto the scales.
Cordina is looking to defend his title against Vazquez at the Casino de Monte Carlo Salle Medecin after previously beating Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov to reclaim his belt.
Cordina – who tipped the scales at 129.9lbs during Friday’s weigh-in- was forced to vacate his belt last year after sustaining a hand injury that ruled him out of action.
