WiLAN stated on Tuesday it had signed a patent licence settlement with Apple and settled all pending litigations, weeks after the iPhone maker gained a patent dispute over wi-fi expertise with the corporate.
In February, Apple satisfied a US appeals court docket to dismiss a jury’s $85 million (roughly Rs. 650 crore) award to Canadian patent-licensing firm WiLAN following a 2020 retrial. Apple had requested the Federal Circuit to throw out the award on a number of grounds, together with issues with WiLAN professional’s testimony.
