It’s going to take more to achieve the goal of back-to-back World Series championships for the Atlanta Braves.

With a 10-11 record, the Atlanta Braves have a lot of work ahead of them this season. While it is April, the Braves aren’t on a good trend in their current state. It’s not a great look. After such a wild and tremendous run last season to get to the series, fans want nothing less.

The team received good news when they were able to activate right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr., from the injured list. Because he suffered a right ACL tear early last season, the club will keep a close eye on his workload. MLB.com reports, “The 24-year-old outfielder likely won’t play day games following night games for the next couple of weeks, but there might be some opportunities to keep him in the lineup as a designated hitter here and there.”

Also, the Braves will be in a bind as Eddie Rosario is expected to be out about eight to 12 weeks recovering from laser eye surgery to correct blurry vision and swelling in the right eye.

Much of the team has been struggling and is in desperate need of a jolt to get the entire team going again. It will require more than the return of Acuña, although there will be a significant boost.

Veteran help in pitching and hitting will be needed, and some top prospects may have to be put up for trade to get that complete help needed. Steve Cohen has made the New York Mets a top contender in the early stages of the season with the Philadelphia Phillies looking great after stocking up on hitters with Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber joining Bryce Harper.

Let’s discuss who the Braves should already have on the trade block in order to improve their shot at repeating this season.
