Red Sox fans aren’t happy that Chaim Bloom is coming back
Wide receiver Davante Adams joined the Las Vegas Raiders for this upcoming season, but he joined for all the wrong reasons.
Wide receiver Davante Adams joined the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason after spending the entirety of his career in Green Bay. And if you’re taking him at his word, he joined for all the wrong reasons.
According to Yahoo Sports, Adams said he “joined the Raiders to win the Super Bowl, not to ‘be cute and hang out with’ Derek Carr.”
Of course, any professional athlete has a goal to win the highest achievement. It’s not unusual that he’s joining Las Vegas and being strictly business. However, it doesn’t make sense that he left the Green Bay Packers to do so.
The Packers have a much easier path to the Super Bowl than Las Vegas.
Davante Adams, Raiders have a more difficult path to the Super Bowl than the Packers
The Packers won the NFC North division last season with a high winning percentage of .765 and went 13-4. The Raiders came second in the AFC West and went 10-7.
Las Vegas also only made the playoffs as a Wild Card last season, while the Packers earned the No. 1 seed. Green Bay is in a much better spot to win the Super Bowl (though still not the most likely scenario) than Las Vegas.
The Raiders haven’t been to a Super Bowl since 2002 and haven’t won one since 1984. The Packers won one in 2011 and though they have continuously fallen short of making it to another Super Bowl, they’ve gone to the playoffs most seasons Adams was with the team.
The Packers have a much better run at the Super Bowl than the Raiders do, and Adams is setting himself back by joining Las Vegas.
