There may not be anything better on Super Bowl Sunday than cashing a few bets before the game even starts!
You can bet on the coin toss and the National Anthem, and this year’s rendition ended up making one group of bettors extremely happy.
Chris Stapleton sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl 57 in Glendale, AZ and bettors that took the UNDER had to love his performance.
The OVER/UNDER for Stapleton’s version of the anthem was set at 125 seconds (two minutes and five seconds), and he finished with an anthem time of 2:04 according to our own Iain MacMillan.
It’s a great way for some bettors to start the night, and Stapleton’s rendition even brought Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni to tears.
Super Bowl National Anthem over/under
The National Anthem prop is one of the hardest props to wager on since the singer changes each year, adjusting the time.
For example, in Super Bowl 56, Mickey Guyton took about one minute and 50 seconds to sing the anthem, yet Stapleton’s singing style had his OVER/UNDER set above two minutes.
It’s another prop that feels like a true 50/50 shot, like the coin toss, but it’s a fun one to bet on.
Let’s be honest, we all had our stopwatch up on our phone seeing how long this one was going to take.
If you bet the under, congratulations. Let’s hope your luck carries into what should be a terrific game.
