Tyson Fury and Jon Jones 'in talks for two-fight MMA and boxing deal' as 'text messages leaked'

LEAKED text messages between Tyson Fury and Jon Jones reveal ‘talks are underway for a blockbuster two-fight MMA and boxing deal’ after Dana White offered to hold the crossover clash inside the UFC Octagon

Talks between Jon Jones and Tyson Fury are rumoured to be underway for a two-fight deal in MMA and boxing.

MMA news account Fight Oracle claims Jones showed him text messages that the UFC heavyweight champion had exchanged with Fury confirming that this was the case.

‘Just ran into the GOAT @JonnyBones in Atlanta,’ tweeted @fightoracle. ‘The talks between him and @tysonfury are very much real. 

‘He showed me the text messages between them. 1 boxing fight. 1 MMA Fight.

‘Jon wants a money fight & has no issues going into the lions den against Tyson in a boxing ring 1st.

He added: ‘Jon is in Atlanta to corner his teammate Maurice Greene at #PFL5. 

‘Francis Ngannou will also be in the building tomorrow night. A lot of stuff going on behind the scenes. Business has picked up.’

This comes after UFC president Dana White declared that he would happily make a fight between the pair inside the Octagon.

However, Fury has been very clear that he has no intention of facing Jones unless it is under the Marquess of Queensbury rules. 

The WBC heavyweight champion is expected to return to the ring in August and has teased an ‘imminent announcement’ for his next fight.

His upcoming opponent is expected to be either Frank Sanchez, Martin Bakole or Agit Kabayel, who are all ranked inside the WBC’s top 15 ratings.
