Aaron Rodgers confirmed some reports, and denied others. He showed raw emotion, disappointment and gratitude for the only franchise he’s ever known — the Green Bay Packers.
Rodgers made an appearance on the Pat McAfee show Wednesday, stating that he intends on joining the New York Jets assuming they can work out trade compensation with his current team, the Packers. Green Bay made it clear after Rodgers darkness retreat that they think the time is now to move forward with Jordan Love as their quarterback.
Rodgers told all in his interview, dating back to 2020, when the Packers selected Love in the first round. The conversation was a long time coming, but Green Bay’s plan was delayed thanks to back-to-back MVPs by Rodgers. Now, it’s time for a new challenge.

Aaron Rodgers’ interview was a long one, but there were several shots fired, including one across the brow of ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter. He had some fun at his own expense, proving Rodgers text message as fact.
Rodgers discussed his departure from Green Bay, and all the city and franchise meant to him over the years. Nonetheless, he did seem a little offended by the way things ended, despite suggesting that he was not upset with the team in the moment.
As for the rest of NFL Twitter, they had plenty of fun at Rodgers expense.
