- Fenech gives details on Sandilands’ wedding
- Champion boxer says event was ‘amazing’
- He says it wasn’t most extravagant he’s attended
Boxing legend Jeff Fenech has revealed what it was like to be at his good friend Kyle Sandilands‘ lavish celebrity wedding in Darling Point over the weekend – though it wasn’t the most extravagant he’s attended.
Sandilands, 51, married his fiancée Tegan Kynaston on Saturday during a spectacular wedding ceremony in Sydney, said to have cost $1million.
Around 130 guests watched the couple tie the knot, including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Kings Cross identity John Ibrahim and the four-time world champion boxer.
Fenech and Sandilands have been good friends for many years and the ‘Marrickville Mauler’ was honoured to attend the event with his wife Suzee.
‘It was amazing, the whole thing,’ Fenech told News Corp.

‘The speeches were great, rubbing shoulders and talking to the PM was really special.
‘When Kyle does things, they’re big. The property was out of this world. I got so many phone numbers of everybody that performed to use for my future parties.’
Fenech, who has been to numerous celebrity weddings over the years, including billionaire businessman James Packer’s, wouldn’t say it was the fanciest ceremony he’d been to.
‘But nobody does it like Kyle. He doesn’t make anyone feel bigger or better than anyone else,’ said Fenech.
‘He mixed with everybody. I had a few margaritas, so I have a bit of a sore head this morning, that’s for sure.
‘To me, life is about memories. You can’t take your houses or cars to the cemetery. Dancing with my wife Suzee last night, and sharing in a beautiful moment, is a memory I’ll take with me.’
Sandilands recently recalled the time Fenech asked him to help out at one of champion boxer Vic Darchinyan’s fights by being in his corner.

It was 2006 and the radio star was in the US with Fenech as Darchinyan prepared for his world title bout with Freddie Roach-trained Diosdado ‘Prince’ Gabi.
Fenech gave Sandilands the job of placing Darchinyan’s stool in the ring when rounds ended.
‘It was my first and only time being in the corner, I made a fatal error,’ he said on the Standing Eight Podcast.
‘When it came time for everyone to go to their corner, Jeff turns around and goes “The stool, the stool, brother!”‘ Sandilands said.
‘And I’m sitting there going, poor Vic, waiting to sit down, then I realise I’m sitting on the bastard’s chair.’
