Ohio State football had so little problem with Wisconsin that Brutus actually took the hardest hit of the game when he got taken out by a hamster ball.
Teams across the country had their hands full with upset bids in Week 4. Ohio State was not one of them.
The Buckeyes were dominant in their Big Ten conference game against Wisconsin. In fact, they were so good, the Badgers could barely put a finger on them.
The most vicious tackle of the day actually belonged to a fan participating in a contest during a media timeout involving hamster balls. Ohio State mascot Brutus was the target.
Brutus took the hardest hit for Ohio State against Wisconsin
Prayers up for Brutus, who showed their toughness by popping right back up after getting completely laid out.
That’s why you’ve gotta have your head on a swivel on or near every football field. Even mascots can get blown up.
C.J. Stroud and the Ohio State offense got rolling early. They jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.
Stroud came away with 281 yards and five touchdowns. Miyan Williams and TreVeyon Henderson each rushed for more than 100 yards. Emeka Egbuga caught six passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, the Buckeyes defense allowed seven points in the first three quarters. Wisconsin salvaged two late touchdowns to make the score look far more positive than it was.
Wisconsin is no push-over, so Ohio State definitely made quite the statement beating them up so badly. Undoubtedly, Brutus would take more hits like that if it meant getting to watch the Buckeyes win like that every week.
