Bryce Young is the top quarterback prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft class, but a recent photo with ESPN analyst Mina Kimes has some fans concerned.

With Super Bowl 57 in the books, and the 2023 league year beginning on March 15, all attention will be on the NFL Scouting Combine, with live drills taking palce from March 2-5. That’s right, it’s time for the focus to be set on the top prospects from college making the jump from the pros to the NFL. When it comes to the quarterback position, Alabama’s Bryce Young is believed to be the best of the bunch, and understandably so. However, there is always the concern if a signal-caller’s is 6-foot-0 or under.

NFL Draft fans ran upon a photo of Young, who stands at 6-foot-0, alongside ESPN analyst Mina Kimes. This was in response to a tweet from Kimes, who praised Young’s ability to see the middle of the field. These fans lost their minds upon seeing the two at near-equal height in the photo.

Kimes cleared the air on Twitter, saying that she was wearing four-inch heels when taking the photo with Young. That, and she said she is “nearly 5-foot-7.”

Young’s height is going to dominate the discussions throughout the pre-draft process. With Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud standing and Kentucky’s Will Levis standing at 6-foot-3, there will be endless discussion as to which teams will send Young down their draft boards due to his height.

But, when watching the tape, as Kimes brings up, his play is something that really catches your attention. From his ability to extend plays with his legs and maneuver in the pocket, this is why he is considered probably the most complete quarterback in the draft class. He did win the Heisman Trophy in 2021, after all.

There are four teams in the Top 10 who are in need of a quarterback, and they are the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Las Vegas Raiders, and Carolina Panthers. But, the Chicago Bears hold the No. 1 pick, and they will undoubtedly be looking for a king’s ransom in draft capital to trade spots with a quarterback-needy team.

Before shunning Young because of his height, we urge you to watch the game film and see what he was able to do while playing in the tough SEC.
