Darren Waller trade: Raiders fans get an important update

Las Vegas Raiders fans will be more than relieved with the latest news on star tight end Darren Waller.

In what’s already been a wild offseason for the Las Vegas Raiders, fans out there have been worried sick that superstar tight end Darren Waller could be on his way out of town. Luckily for those concerned people, that doesn’t look like it will go down.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, a source has informed him that there is no chance he’ll be traded leading up to the NFL Draft. This is, of course, great news for quarterback Derek Carr.

Got a firm ‘zero chance’ Darren Waller is traded from a source. Teams certainly would like to acquire a top tight end on a good contract but Raiders have no plans to acquiesce.

Darren Waller won’t be traded by the Las Vegas Raiders

Waller dealt with multiple injuries this past season, limiting him to only 11 games in 2021. Despite missing so much action, the 6-6, 255-pounder still posted 665 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Looking ahead to next season, Waller is no doubt fired up to return and make a big impact for this offense. The confidence for Las Vegas is high as a whole entering Week 1, especially with Davante Adams now in the fold.

Waller spoke with FanSided last week about how the addition of Adams translates to their 2022 roster.

“We have so many weapons now that, you know, how do we use and how do we get people involved? How do we, you know, create a rhythm within our offense?” Waller said.

“And that’s what we’re going to be working on over these next few months because we’re going to keep continuing to grow as individual players and collectively as we continue to learn this new system and go out there and do our best effort. That’s what’s gonna allow us to translate the product on the field that people are expecting from us.”

The Raiders made a monster splash when they pulled off the blockbuster move to land Adams from the Green Bay Packers. With Adams and Carr reunited — they played college ball together at Fresno State — fans can’t wait to see what the two will be able to do together.

There was worry that Waller wouldn’t be included in the fun, but he’s now all set to suit up for the Raiders next fall, according to Fowler. Las Vegas has high expectations for 2021, and things are only going to look more promising for them with Waller ready to ball out for the team looking like his usual self.
