- Martin Bakole claimed he would knock out Dillian Whyte after calling for a fight
- Bakole’s approach to Whyte led to the heavyweights trading a series of insults
- The confrontation came as Bakole beat Ihor Shevadzutskyi on the undercard
Martin Bakole and Dillian Whyte traded insults during a heated confrontation in Poland after the former called for a fight to be arranged between the pair.
The altercation took place at the G2A Arena in Rzeszow, where home town favourite Lukasz Rozanski beat Alen Babic in the WBC bridgeweight title clash.
Bakole had fought on the undercard, with the Congolese heavyweight beating Ukraine’s Ihor Shevadzutskyi after just three rounds.
The 29-year-old, who now has a 19-1 record in his professional career, approached Whyte at the event to demand a fight.
Both heavyweights were involved in a confrontation as Whyte walked up the stairs at the venue.

Whyte has not had a fight since beating Jermaine Franklin in November last year
‘Stop talking to me bro, we can fight in the ring,’ Whyte said, with Bakole responding ‘Shut up motherf***er. I’m ready, I’m ready for you. I am not scared of you’.
Whyte then called on Bakole to come upstairs for a fight.
‘Let’s make a fight you bum, I’ll knock you out cold, just say yes to the fight, ‘f*** you, motherf***er,’ Bakole responded, adding that Whyte was a ‘scared bum’.
Whyte labelled Bakole a ‘b****’ after walking away from the row.
Bakole, who has been a regular sparring partner of Anthony Joshua, is looking to secure a major fight after his impressive win over Tony Yoka last year.
His trainer Billy Nelson recently claimed he is becoming one of the ‘most avoided’ fighters in the world.
The Scotland-based boxer is unlikely to be Whyte’s next opponent despite urging the fight to be made.
Whyte was at ringside for Joe Joyce’s fight with Zhilei Zhang earlier this month and had called for a fight with his domestic rival prior to his surprise defeat.
Joyce and Zhang have both been viewed as potential opponents for Whyte, while he could have rematch with Anthony Joshua.
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has touted Whyte as his next bout, after the 33-year-old overcame Jermaine Franklin earlier this month.
