Decorated gymnast Simone Biles channeled her inner Adam Schefter to reveal some heartwarming news for the Packers franchise.

Olympic champion and world renowned gymnast Simone Biles is just a little more well-known than her husband, and she’s bringing her celebrity influence and nationwide fame to a certain football-loving city of Wisconsin.

Biles, who recently married NFL safety Jonathan Owens, posted pictures of herself and Owens at Lambeau Field along with a caption that made her something of a cheesehead herself.

She was celebrating Owens’ signing with the Green Bay Packers on Friday; Owens was previously a free agent after spending four years on the Houston Texans. He’ll now join a talented Green Bay secondary with his wife by his side — none of that Josh McDaniels-Darren Waller bad juju here. Just good vibes.

Biles also posted this message on Instagram: “New beginnings. Perfect cap to an amazing week. Let’s get to work.”

Simone Biles is a Green Bay Packers fan by marriage

Biles has already been ingratiating herself well within the fanbase, even asking the community for recommendations on food to eat, sites to visit, and things to do in Green Bay. We’d imagine that list is fairly short.

Biles’ husband, Johnathan Owens, played as the starting safety in 2022 for the first time in his NFL career. Prior to last season, he had only started two games in his first three years in Houston.

The 27-year old defensive back has a high bar to reach, especially with a partner as talented as Biles. One has to imagine that she’s with him all the way from going to the weight room together to carb loading together to even helping him train on the field.

Owens hasn’t yet received any honors in his sports career, but who knows? Maybe with the all-time most decorated gymnast in his corner, he can get his first Pro Bowl nod in 2023.

Congrats to the happy couple, and may Biles’ star power gradually outshine that of Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay.
