Jake Paul bizarrely blames his loss to Tommy Fury on a ‘WET DREAM’ that left him with ‘weak legs’… adding to his catalogue of excuses after claiming he was ill, jet-lagged and injured before the Saudi Arabia showdown

  • Jake Paul has come out with a number of excuses for his defeat to Tommy Fury
  • The American claims a ‘wet dream’ was one of ‘many reasons’ for his first loss
  • He has already listed illness, injury and jet-lag as factors that hindered him

Jake Paul has come up with his most bizarre excuse yet for his defeat to Tommy Fury after claiming a ‘wet dream’ contributed to his downfall.

The American suffered the first loss of his career against his bitter rival Fury last month as he was beaten by a split decision – and immediately came out with a list of reasons why he wasn’t at his best.

Paul said he had suffered illness, an arm injury and jet-lag prior to the bout in Saudi Arabia but has now incredibly claimed he was left with ‘weak legs’ after ‘waking up in the night in panic’.

On his YouTube show ImPaulsive, his brother Logan revealed Jake had a wet dream in the build up to the fight and asked him if it had any impact on the result – claiming the same thing happened to him before he faced KSI in 2019.

Paul initially said he ‘didn’t want to talk about it’, before responding: ‘I f***ed myself – literally – over.

‘I don’t actually even remember the dream. I literally woke up in a panic, like, “f***, f***, f***, f***”. I was like, “Oh my god”.

‘You have two weeks of testosterone built up and so the reason a wet dream happens is because your body needs to release that energy, it knows in your mind, “this is not good”. I f***ed myself.

‘But yeah it makes your legs weak. For the viewers, that’s why it’s bad, it makes your legs weak.’

When Logan then asked him if it was a reason for his defeat, he replied: ‘I think it’s one of many reasons.’

In the immediate aftermath of his loss to Fury, Paul was quick to defend his performance, saying it was a ‘close fight’ before saying he felt ‘flat’ and suffered illness in his camp.

‘I’ll come back and I think we deserve the rematch. It was a great fight, a close fight. I don’t know if I agree with the judges,’ he said.

‘Honestly, I felt flat. I got sick really bad twice in this camp, injured my arm, so it wasn’t my best performance,’ he said to boos from the crowd before immediately insisting he was beaten by the better man.

‘But I lost – I’m not making excuses. I’m just saying, it wasn’t my best performance, I felt a little flat and like I said, we’re going to come back and get that W.’

Since then, Paul has given interviews on other YouTube channels offering more excuses, with one being that he was affected by jet-lag after flying out to the Middle East.

After being asked by Logan for the main factor behind his loss, he replied: ‘Lots of reasons; I was sick for four weeks out of this nine-week camp and the travelling, jet-lagged for another week of that.’

He then played down the manner of Fury’s victory, saying it had ‘everything to do with me’ and claimed former MMA star Anderson Silva was a tougher opponent.

‘That’s what’s p***ing me off the most, it had nothing to do with him, it had everything to do with me,’ he added.

‘He wasn’t that great at all, I think Anderson was tougher than him and I figured out that puzzle. He threw a lot of punches, that was his biggest thing.’
