Jake Paul has claimed Cristiano Ronaldo will be ringside for his highly anticipated fight with Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.

The fight will take place at the 15,000-capacity Diriyah Arena in the nation’s capital city Riyadh.

Ronaldo is now based in Saudi Arabia after signing for Al-Nassr, with the 38-year-old penning a lucrative £175million-a-year contract.

The Portuguese legend signed for Al-Nassr after his Manchester United contract was mutually terminated in November.

Paul was asked a series of questions by young fans while on a run in Dubai, before travelling to Saudi Arabia.

One fan asked in the TopRank video whether Ronaldo would be in attendance.

‘Yeah, I think he’s coming to the fight,’ Paul replied.

Paul has been preparing at the Kamani Club in Dubai for the fight with Fury, who boasts an 8-0 professional record.

Fury has twice withdrawn from bouts against Paul, first in December 2021 due to illness and injury, and then in August last year when their Madison Square Garden clash was axed with Fury unable to gain entry to the United States.

The withdrawals have increased the feud, which has extended to other members of Fury’s family, with Paul claiming that father John is damaging the 23-year-old’s career

Fury is the half-brother of heavyweight titan Tyson Fury, the current occupant of the WBC heavyweight title.

Tyson has warned Tommy would have to stay in Saudi Arabia and become Ronaldo’s personal trainer should he lose to Paul.

‘I have told Tommy that if he loses he has to stay over in Saudi and become Ronaldo’s personal trainer. He agreed,’ Tyson Fury said last month.

‘He will have to spend his losers purse on a nice little flat out in Saudi and look after Ronnie.’

Tommy Fury has labelled Paul as a ‘circus act’ ahead of the fight with the YouTuber turned boxer.

Paul is seemingly already planning his route to a next fight once he has faced Fury, calling out former super-middleweight champion Carl Froch.

The 26-year-old, who has won his six pro boxing fights against amateurs, tweeted: ‘Carl Froch mad because I made more in one year than he made his whole career.

Froch responded: ‘You’re not good enough. You’re not a professional fighter. You’re a performing clown. That’s all you are.

‘So keep my name out of your mouth until you’ve done something in the game. I think this weekend, your world ends.

‘But if it doesn’t, and you are stupid enough to take a fight with me, when this right hand lands on your chin, it will put you into f***ing orbit and knock that stupid barnet off the top of your head.’
