Joe Joyce taunts Anthony Joshua as he shares Instagram story suggesting the former world heavyweight champion ‘wouldn’t hear the final bell’ against him… with ‘The Juggernaut’ a possible opponent for an all-British showdown
- Joe Joyce believes that he would beat Anthony Joshua if the pair fought next
- Joyce shared a post claiming Joshua ‘wouldn’t hear the final bell’ against him
- Joshua could target Joyce as his next opponent after beating Jermaine Franklin
Heavyweight hopeful Joe Joyce has shared an image on his Instagram story that suggests he doesn’t believe Anthony Joshua would last 12 rounds against him.
Joyce is hoping to land a first mega-fight of his career against former two-time world champion Joshua who beat Jermaine Franklin on Saturday evening.
Joshua claimed his first victory in two years having previously lost his heavyweight crown to Ukrainian craftsman Oleksandr Usyk.
Despite having his hand raised via a unanimous points decision, the 33-year-old largely failed to impress as the knockout he so badly craved never came.
He called out Tyson Fury for another shot at the heavyweight title in his next outing’ and also stressed that a fight with Deontay Wilder is another possibility he would be open to exploring.

Joshua didn’t mention Joyce’s name as he was questioned on who he would like to go toe-to-toe with next, but that hasn’t stopped the WBO interim world heavyweight belt holder from putting his name in the mix.
Joyce shared a post on his Instagram story on Sunday that read: ‘There is not a chance in hell that man would hear the final bell against Joyce.
‘The same can be said about Jermaine Franklin’.
Joyce will stage his first title defence when he takes on Zhilei Zhang on April 15 but will be hoping to set up a potential bout with Joshua if he emerges victorious.

However, fellow British boxer Dillian Whyte might have something to say as he attempts to secure a second career fight against Joshua.
Both Whyte and Joshua are represented by Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing and a second showdown between the duo would guarantee huge interest.
Whyte belittled Joshua in the aftermath of Saturday’s bout as he suggested that his rival had lost his ‘aggression’.
Former super middleweight champion Carl Froch also criticised Joshua and claimed that he ‘didn’t understand’ why Joshua was fighting.
