This year’s edition of March Madness could be absolutely bonkers, but these five top dogs could be bracket busters by getting knocked out early.

The NCAA Tournament is just days away and most of America will be hard at work filling out their brackets for the field of 68. A wild regular season has taught us to expect the unexpected this March, meaning we could be in line for a ton of chaos over the next few weeks.

The lack of bid thieves in this year’s field has led to a very strong crop of double-digit seeds, which could cause a lot of problems for some of the top dogs. Let’s take a look at five low seeds who could become bracket busters by getting picked off early in the NCAA Tournament.

5. Potential Bracket Busters – Arizona Wildcats

The Pac-12’s second-best team, Arizona will be a trendy pick to go deep into the tournament on the strength of its explosive offense. The Wildcats entered the Pac-12 title game with the nation’s third most-efficient offense according to KenPom but this group is prone to lapses on the defensive end.

High-level guards have proven to be a weakness for the Wildcats, who don’t have the elite perimeter play that made last season’s team so special. Guard play is often a key to success in the NCAA Tournament so Arizona’s deficiency in this area could be its undoing.

The Wildcats got a tougher 15-seed than expected in Princeton but they should survive that game. Getting past either red-hot Missouri or ascending Utah State in the Round of 32 could be a problem so don’t be shocked if Arizona gets bounced early.
