A BIG battle in the BIG East is set to go down on Tuesday night.
The No. 10 Marquette Golden Eagles will hit the road to take on the No. 19 Creighton Bluejays.
Marquette holds on to a slim lead in the Big East at 13-3. Xavier, Providence, and Creighton are all right behind the Golden Eagles, sitting at 12-4. Marquette got the better of Creighton in December, beating it by a final score of 69-58.

These two teams played earlier in the season and combined for only 127 points, but I believe that was an anomaly of a result. Both teams were ice cold from beyond the arc. Creighton hit just 4-of-20 from 3-point land and Marquette went just 6-for-21.
Now, let’s look at the season long numbers. These teams rank third and 31st in effective field goal percentage but 40th and 247th in opponent effective field goal percentage. Also, both teams rank inside the top 90 in field goal attempts per game, so a pace of play isn’t much of a concern.
