The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to re-sign veteran pass rusher Brandon Graham.
Defensive end Brandon Graham will sign a one-year, $6 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to ESPN’s Tim McManus.
Graham told Josina Anderson of CBS Sports the following:
“I haven’t officially signed yet, but it’ pretty much done. I’m coming back. It wasn’t about the money. I love Philly. I don’t want to miss a championship with Jalen. Jalen is the man. I just told my agent make it happen.”
Last season, Graham had a career year at age 34. He had a career-high 11.0 sacks, which was tied for the 14th-most in the NFL. He also posted an impressive PFF grade of 89.8.

This is a big win for the Eagles, who are set to lose many key contributors. On The John Kincade Show, ESPN’s Adam Schefter stated he believes the team is likely to lose safety CJ Gardner-Johnson and defensive tackle Javon Hargrave in free agency. According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, the organization has given cornerback Darius Slay permission to seek a trade, as well.
Some other notable Eagles’ free agents are running back Miles Sanders, center Jason Kelce, guard Isaac Seumalo, offensive tackle Andre Dillard, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, defensive end Robert Quinn, linebacker Kyzir White, linebacker T.J. Edwards, and cornerback James Bradberry.
Prior to the Graham contract, the Eagles had $8.85 million in cap space, per Spotrac. Due to their cap situation and an extensive list of free agents, it will be impossible to re-sign everybody. It is simple math. So, the front office will have to navigate this situation very carefully. Every dollar allocated will matter. Signing Graham to a $6 million contract was a great start.
The Eagles do have options to free up additional cap space, as well. They could open up $8.66 million if they restructure Lane Johnson’s contract. Trading Slay would free up an additional $4.846 million.
