Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens amazed everyone with his one-handed catch, including Odell Beckham Jr.

The Pittsburgh Steelers went on the road to take on the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football. In the first half, NFL fans erupted upon seeing what could be the catch of the entire 2022 season.

Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky targeted rookie wide receiver George Pickens along the sideline. Despite being covered by cornerback Martin Emerson Jr., Pickens was able to lean backwards and catch the pass with one hand. It was reminiscent of the famous catch by Odell Beckham Jr. nearly eight years ago.

Speaking of Beckham, the free agent wide receiver and Super Bowl champion took to Twitter to praise Pickens, calling the catch “filthy.”

Beckham made a similar catch like Pickens, and it also happened to take place in primetime. Facing off against the Dallas Cowboys in 2014 as a rookie for the New York Giants, Beckham reached backwards on a pass by quarterback Eli Manning, palmed it and fell into the end zone for a touchdown.

It was one of the most incredible catches for quite some time, and now there may be debate now with Pickens’ one-handed grab.

Pickens’ 35-yard catch helped set up a five-yard touchdown run by running back Najee Harris to tie the game at seven points apiece. The Steelers ultimately ended up losing 29-17.

In Week 3, Pickens caught three passes for 39 yards on seven targets.

In just his third game, Pickens has caught the attention of the NFL world with his playmaking abilities, including Beckham.
