ONE Championship makes its debut on Amazon Prime Video with a stacked card of superstar martial artists. The main event will feature ONE flyweight champion, Adriano Moraes, as he defends his title against Demetrious Johnson in a highly anticipated rematch.
In their last meeting over a year ago, Moraes became the first man to finish Johnson in MMA with a controversial knee to the head as Johnson was down. Unlike the UFC, ONE Championship operates under a ruleset where knees to a downed opponent are legal. However, the finish still sparked debate amongst the MMA community about whether or not grounded knees should be allowed in the cage.
ONE on Prime Video 1 also features a Muay Thai world title bout as the co-main event. Six-time ONE bantamweight Muay Thai champion, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, will defend his belt against Liam Harrison. Nong-O has an impressive Muay Thai record of 263-54-10. Harrison is coming off one of the best one-round fights in the history of combat sports with his wild comeback victory over Muangthai PK Saenchai in April.
