Here are the PFL 2022 Playoffs: Anthony Pettis vs. Stevie Ray odds breakdown.
Now that the regular season has wrapped up, it’s time for the PFL playoffs and a million-dollar prize. Eight lightweight and light heavyweight fighters will begin their playoff run on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, live from the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. The fight card consists of 11 bouts currently, starting at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+, with the main card airing at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN & ESPN+.
The featured lightweight playoff bout is a rematch from the regular season between Anthony Pettis vs. Stevie Ray. Ray pulled off a twister submission in the second round to get the victory back in June. Both fighters are UFC veterans, Pettis being the more well-known, is only 1-3 in the PFL and looking for redemption. Ray is out to prove the first fight was no fluke.
Olivier Aubin-Mercier faces off against Alex Martinez in the other lightweight semifinal. Aubin-Mercier impressively dispatched two former PFL champions in the regular season. Martinez also made his mark with a unanimous decision victory over semifinalist Ray. Veteran versus the up and comer, winner to the final.
Moving over to the first light heavyweight semifinal, we have Rob Wilkinson vs. Delan Monte. Monte needed a first-round stoppage over former PFL champion Emiliano Sordi to advance to the playoffs, and he did just that with a TKO. Wilkinson won both of his regular-season fights by TKO and is on a four-fight win streak since losing to Israel Adesanya in the UFC. Wilkinson will look to extend that streak while Monte tries to build off a big must-win to get to the finale.
Veteran fighter Omari Akhmedov takes on quick study Josh Silveira in the other light heavyweight semifinal. Akhmedov and Silveira finished their regular season bouts inside the distance. The much more experienced Akhmedov will look to stop the 9-0 hype train in Silveira.
Check out the odds below for the PFL lightweight and light heavyweight 2022 Playoffs. Wilkinson (-300) vs. Monte (+250) is the biggest favorite in the run for the million dollars. Make sure to check out the official betting odds for the full fight card below, before placing your wagers.
