PFL Playoffs: Omari Akhmedov earns finals spot with decision over Josh Silveira
Stevie Ray advances to finals after defeating Anthony Pettis again (Video)
On Friday, August 5, 2022, the first round of PFL playoffs took place with the lightweights and light heavyweights squaring off for their chance at $1 million.
In the main event, a rematch between former UFC champion Anthony Pettis and Stevie Ray was showcased with Pettis hoping to prove lighting couldn’t strike twice for Ray.
The second fight went longer than the first with the fight getting out of the first round this time, nearly repeating the submission in the first. But unfortunately for Pettis, Ray was clearly the better fighter on Friday night.
The former champion was dominated on all counts.
Who will be fighting in the 2022 PFL finals?
With Olivier Aubin-Mercier’s win and Ray’s win, they will face off for the finals on Nov. 25.
Joining them in the finals are the light heavyweight fighters Rob Wilkinson and Omari Akhmedov.
