Texas football is set to host a huge game in Week 2 with mighty Alabama coming to Austin and one local weatherman just roasted the Longhorns to oblivion.
Any Texas football fan who’s realistic about the team probably knows that the Longhorns are truly up against it on Saturday when they welcome the No. 1-ranked team in the country, the Alabama Crimson Tide, to Austin. Of course, one of the beauties of fandom is often believing the face of logic.
Subsequently, there are certainly a number of burnt-orange-clad fans who are ready for the Longhorns to shock the world and knock off Nick Saban’s crew in Week 2. But one Texas weatherman is ready for them to cry.
Trolling the Texas fan base in beautiful fashion, CBS Austin meteorologist Avery Tomasco issued a flood warning at Darrell K. Royal Stadium from all of the tears and sweat that the Longhorns fans are going to be producing on Saturday.
BREAKING: I know it’s early, but I’m expecting a flash flood warning to go into effect at 11 AM on Saturday in Austin.

Texas football: Weatherman issues flood warning in Austin because of tears from Alabama game
That’s just savage, especially considering the fact that he’s a weatherman in Austin is likely someone that many Longhorns fans are familiar with on the local news.
But Tomasco, it must be noted, probably isn’t wrong.
For as improved as Texas football can be with the arrival of Quinn Ewers this season, it’s a roster that just isn’t in the ballpark of Alabama’s. One team could be a sleeper in the Big 12 and the other is the Crimson Tide, a national championship favorite this season. There’s a reason that the point spread for the game is sitting at three scores.
Maybe this is a shock the world performance that Steve Sarkisian has brewing for Saturday. However, despite meteorologists often missing the mark with their predictions, Tomasco feels pretty spot on with this one.
