Tommy Fury claims he will STOP Jake Paul in a rematch as he confirms he will fight the American again… with the Brit admitting the YouTuber-turned boxer is a ‘force to be reckoned with’ after their first bout in Saudi Arabia
Tommy Fury has confirmed he will face Jake Paul in a rematch after defeating the American in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
Fury won the fight by split decision – with the judges calling the bout 76-73, 76-73, 74-75 in his favour – but found it tougher than he had predicted as he was knocked down and faced a point deduction for holding.
Paul had insisted following the bout that he would activate the rematch clause in the contract they signed, something which was echoed by Tommy’s dad and trainer John Fury.
And, Fury, speaking on Good Morning Britain on Thursday, revealed he would be taking part in a rematch and explained how he believed he would perform even better in a second fight.
He said: ‘A re-match is something that I would do, it is something that I believe in. We only did 8 rounds.

The pair fought on Sunday in Saudi Arabia, as Fury emerged victorious via a split decision win
‘I’m ready to go out there and do a re-match, I owe that to myself. I believe in the rematch I’ll definitely stop him.
‘I’ve never been the eight rounds before so you’re just a bit wary about what’s in your tank and how the fight will go.
‘But now I’ve been in the ring with him once I know what to expect.’
The Brit also spoke about his relief following the victory, with Fury visibly emotional as he was interviewed after the bout.
He added: ‘The emotions were so high because of everything I went through over the last three years.
‘Everyone was saying that I wasn’t going to do it and that I didn’t want to do it. I went out there against all odds and came out with the win.
‘Jake Paul is a good guy at the end of the day and you have to do you what you can to sell a fight, he got in there to prove that he could fight and he trained hard for that. Any one who can do that is a force to be reckoned with.’
John Fury has also called on Paul to honor his ‘All-or-Nothing’ bet with his son, after the pair agreed the deal at a fiery pre-fight press conference.
Speaking on the issue during his interview on GMB, Tommy Fury added: ‘I mean at the end of the day, we shook hands we are old fashioned guys so let’s just see if her honours that or not.
‘It’s all fun and games at press conferences isn’t it, but I am from an old fashioned family so let’s just see.’

Fury, 23, also dedicated the victory to his partner Molly-Mae Hague and daughter, Bambi
‘I earned enough from that. I just want to support my family I’ve got a little girl now and I just want to make sure she is happy.’
Fury also dedicated the win to his partner Molly-Mae Hague and his new-born daughter Bambi, while he also hailed the reality TV show Love Island – something he was part of back in 2019 when he met Hague.
He said: ‘Without Love Island and that show none of this would have been possible. It gave me Molly and it gave me Bambi.
‘Without that we probably wouldn’t have been here. It definitely works and it was a great experience and I’d change nothing about it.’
