Believe it or not, I think Tulane can cover the spread in this one. The Green Wave are second in the conference, and a lot of their statistics hold up with Houston’s.
For example, Houston ranks 33rd in effective field goal percentage, but Tulane is right behind them at 49th.
The Green Wave also do a great job of not turning the ball over. They rank 10th in turnovers per possession, coughing up the ball on just 14.1% of possessions and 13.9% of possessions over their last three games.
Houston will dominate Tulane on the boards, but Houston’s slow pace of play makes it hard for them to cover big spreads at times. The Cougars rank 340th in possessions per game.
