Tyson and Paris Fury have taken to social media to celebrate Joseph Parker’s dominant victory over Deontay Wilder.

Parker has long been a fixture of Fury’s training camps, with the pair training together in preparation for Saturday’s event that also saw Anthony Joshua stop Otto Wallin in five rounds.

Speaking before the fight Parker revealed Fury’s storied history with Wilder had made him an invaluable asset in his training camp as he prepared for one of the biggest nights of his professional career.

‘It was very important to fly to England and meet up with Tyson, a man who’s beaten him twice,’ The 31-year-old told Sky News.

‘He’s the most knowledgeable about Wilder and what he represents.

‘He’s always been helpful with my career and taken time to give advice, so it’s been very important we did that.’

In Riyadh Parker executed his gameplan flawlessly, forcing Wilder onto the back foot and largely nullifying the Bronze Bomber’s vaunted one-punch knockout power throughout the twelve rounds.

At the end of the twelve rounds the former WBO world champion was given the nod on all three judges’ scorecards by a wide margin, marking his fourth victory of 2023.

Following the fight, both Tyson and his wife Paris congratulated Parker on social media, with the latter writing ‘congratulations to our good friend.’

Speaking inside the ring following the fight Parker thanked his training partner for his help in preparing to fight Wilder.

‘Tyson Fury thanks for all your help, appreciate it a lot. Massive help. We moved over to England, Tyson gave us his time, sparring… it all came to plan.’

Fury and Wilder met three times inside the ring between 2018 and 2021.

The first fight was controversially ruled a split draw after Fury controlled the fight throughout but was dropped on two separate occasions before recovering to reach the final bell.

Fury was dominant in their second encounter, twice putting Wilder on the canvas before winning via TKO in the seventh round.

In their final meeting Fury completed the trilogy with a KO victory in a compelling back-and-forth fight that saw both men dropped twice with Fury emerging victorious with an 11th-round KO.
