‘I’ll have 15 pints and still KO you’: Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou go back and forth in a heated online exchange as talks of a crossover boxing bout with the former UFC heavyweight champion heat up

  • Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou is back on the cards
  • Fury and Ngannou verbally agreed to a bout last year

Tyson Fury believes he can knock out Francis Ngannou, even after 15 pints.

The pair reignited their rivalry on Sunday after UFC president Dana White offered the Gypsy King a fight inside the Octagon against promotional heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

But his predecessor, Ngannou – who had verbally agreed to face Fury in the boxing ring shortly after the WBC champion’s brief retirement from the sport last year – has now staked his claim to the fight.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote: ‘Anyway… I’ll be ready @tyson_fury.’

In response, Fury fired back: ‘I’ll have 15 pints and still KO you big stiff tramp’

It seemed a foregone conclusion that Fury would fight the Cameroonian dangerman after announcing he would be stepping away from boxing in the aftermath of his win over Dillian Whyte.

However, with Ngannou still tied down by a UFC contract at the time, negotiations weren’t able to lift off of the ground.

The Predator has since left the UFC and is now signed with PFL, who will be actively involved in hi move to boxing.

Ngannou has called out Fury, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder but is understood to be keenest on fighting the former.

If a fight is to take place between the pair then Fury proposes that the bout be fought in a cage with 4oz gloves.

‘Let’s kick it up spicy, in a cage, four-ounce gloves, under Queensberry [boxing rules], and let’s have a badass referee like Iron Mike Tyson,’ he told Seconds Out back in January.
