‘He will have to spend his losers purse on a nice little flat out in Saudi and look after Ronnie’: Tyson Fury claims he has made a deal with brother Tommy that he must become Cristiano Ronaldo’s personal trainer if he loses to Jake Paul

  • Tyson Fury has previously said he should change his name and retire if he loses
  • Tyson has now joked that he must also become Ronaldo’s trainer if he does

Tyson Fury has struck a deal with half-brother Tommy that he will stay in Saudi Arabia and become Cristiano Ronaldo’s personal trainer if he loses his upcoming grudge match against Jake Paul.

Tommy Fury and Paul will finally settle their rivalry on February 26 in Riyadh.

The younger Fury has already been warned he will have to retire and change his name if he is beaten by the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

And now WBC heavyweight champion Tyson joked: ‘I have told Tommy that if he loses he has to stay over in Saudi and become Ronaldo’s personal trainer. He agreed.

‘He will have to spend his losers purse on a nice little flat out in Saudi and look after Ronnie.’

Fury is the underdog with some bookmakers, despite his fighting heritage. Paul has only been fighting professionally for three years and has yet to face a recognised boxer.

‘Tommy has been around boxing his whole life, since he was seven or eight years old,’ Tyson said.

‘He has always boxed has been around training camp after training camp. We turned him over young, after 12 amateur fights and he has been training and fighting ever since.’

He added: Tommy is his own person so he has to do his own thing. My dad has trained him and advised him… the only things he asks me for advice on are: trash talk, marriage and rearing kids.’

Tommy and his partner Molly-Mae Hague announced the birth of their first child this week, just four weeks out from fight night.

‘When my first baby Venezuela was born I was actually boxing on the same night in Dublin,’ Tyson said.

‘She arrived early and obviously I got an awful lot of earache for it on the day and forever. You miss one birth and that’s it – you’re done for.

‘But Tommy is getting paid well and lots of people have to miss out on family things for their work.’

In fact, this crossover to influencer boxing – plus Tommy’s own inflated profile through Love Island – mean his earnings far outstrip his achievements in the ring

‘He has probably earned more in his eight fights than he would have done if he was the reigning undisputed light-heavyweight world champion, the same for popularity,’ Tyson said.

‘This celebrity-influencer fighting seems – in some ways – to be even bigger than real boxing, it’s crazy how it has happened, how much they are making and how many eyes are on it.’

Fury revealed: ‘I earned about £10,000 for my ninth fight.

‘I won’t be having (YouTube fighters) on my undercard because then I have to pay the f******! No chance.’

Nor will the heavyweight king criticise Paul for any of his controversial trash talk.

‘I will never point the finger at anyone because of all the s*** I have said over the years – and will probably continue to do so,’ he said.

‘When you are coming up and trying to get famous, you have to do and say a lot of s***.

‘Look at Kim Kardashian and what she did to get famous! I can’t get into that.

‘To get popular and famous enough to sell tickets and become a Pay-Per-View star, you have to do some crazy-a*** s***.

‘Whether it’s Jake calling Conor McGregor names, or me having a go at everybody, or going in Love Island.’

Tommy and Tyson are only two of a number from the extended Fury family to have become professional boxers.

And there are more to come.

‘My eldest Prince will be a boxer but Tyson Fury II is only six and he is mustard, he is special,’ he said.
