Tyson Fury has joked that his brother Tommy can stay in Saudi Arabia if he fails to beat Jake Paul.
Tommy Fury is set to take on YouTube star Paul on February 25.
The fight is set to finally go ahead after failing to take place on two previous occasions. Fury previously withdrew due to an injury suffered while training in 2021 and then last year Fury was denied entry into the United States.
Tyson Fury (L) says his brother Tommy (R) can stay in Saudi Arabia if he doesn’t beat Jake Paul
Tyson Fury stated that an announcement regarding the fight is imminent and says that expects Tommy to ‘chin’ his opponent.
Tyson Fury told talkSPORT: ‘I don’t think it’s been officially announced, but I hear an announcement is imminent. They are finally getting it on and are going to throw down. The two YouTube people get to battle it out for the king of the YouTubers. It’s going to be fun, and I expect Tommy to chin him. If he doesn’t he can stay in Saudi Arabia.’
Tommy Fury will face Paul, with both of them going into the fight with 100 per cent records
John Fury is adamant that his son Tommy will be successful in defeating Jake Paul
John Fury, father of Tyson and Tommy, stated that there will be no more boxing for Tommy if he loses.
He added that it is a ‘foregone conclusion’ that Tommy Fury will beat Paul.
John Fury said: ‘There is no more boxing for him if he loses. But, I am 100 percent confident he will knock him out. It’s a big ask for Jake Paul, because Tommy is much better than what he’s faced before, so fair do’s to him.
‘It’s a foregone conclusion that Tommy will win. We are not leaving a stone unturned and are training as if this were against a world-class fighter. He’s working really well. Tommy will be very famous on the 26th of February.’
Tommy Fury has won all eight of his professional fights so far.
Paul also has a 100 per cent record with six victories to date.
