With the summer transfer window only a couple of months away there has been a lot of speculation about the future of several USMNT players.

Ricardo Pepi, Malik Tillman and Brandon Vazquez all performed well for their clubs last weekend. In the latest USMNT squad, only Pepi of the three was selected. A switch of clubs for the players could be key to them being chosen for future games for the Stars and Stripes.

USMNT news: Premier League club interested in Pepi

Pepi featured in both of the USMNT’s games over the international break. He scored twice against Grenada and once against El Salvador. Folarin Balogun has been heavily linked with switching his allegiance to the USA from England but Pepi made a strong case that he should still be the man to lead their line.

The player was again on the scoresheet for FC Groningen last weekend. However, they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Fortuna Sittard. Pepi has now scored 10 goals in the Eredivisie this season, but his club is in danger of being relegated.

Pepi is only on loan at Groningen from Augsburg and Fabrizio Romano has revealed that “Ricardo Pepi will not stay at Augsburg next season. The plan is to leave — as PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord are now interested in signing USMNT talent.

“One Premier League club also explored conditions of Pepi deal but he prefers different challenge at this stage of his career.”

Moving to a better team in the Netherlands could be the best option for the 20-year-old’s development, but moving to England would be more of a challenge for him.

USMNT news: Rangers to sign Tillman permanently

Tillman scored twice for Rangers in their 2-0 victory over Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership last Saturday. The player has now scored 10 goals in the division and has been linked with a permanent switch to the Gers from Bayern Munich.

According to Football Scotland, “A transfer fee believed to be around £5 million has already been agreed with Bayern Munich with Rangers having the option to buy him.”

The Rangers are a place where Tillman knows he can flourish but the player may fancy his chances in a more competitive league. He has only four appearances for the USMNT and has not played for his country since November last year despite his form in Scotland.

His parent club Bayern also has a new manager in Thomas Tuchel who might want to give Tillman a chance on his side.

USMNT news: More clubs interested in Vazquez

Although he did not get on the scoresheet for FC Cincinnati last weekend, Vazquez still helped them claim a 1-0 win over Inter Miami. The Athletic has reported that “Borussia Monchengladbach, Everton and Hoffenheim are scouting Brandon Vazquez.”

In total for Cincinnati, Vazquez has scored 27 times in 93 appearances and is also still eligible to play for Mexico as his two caps for the USMNT came in friendlies. A move to Europe from MLS would be the next step of his career.
