South Carolina rolled over LSU in the game of the year, shaking up the top of the women’s college basketball rankings, but there was plenty of movement down below, too.

Can anyone stop South Carolina? The Gamecocks picked up their sixth ranked win over the weekend, taking down then-undefeated LSU, 88-64. The Gamecocks are once again the unanimous number one team in this week’s rankings, marking their 34th consecutive week at the top. They are the last remaining undefeated team in division one.

The Tigers fell two spots to number five after their first loss. They look to bounce back this week against Ole Miss and Florida.

Indiana remained number two after a big win over Iowa. The Hoosiers are in sole possession of first in the Big Ten after the win.

Stanford climbed back into the top five this week. The Cardinal bounced back from their loss to Washington with a big win over Arizona. Utah follows them, reaching their highest rank of the season.

UConn and Iowa both slid two spots down after losses this week. The Huskies fell to Marquette last Wednesday.

The middle of the rankings remained the same. Maryland, Duke, and Notre Dame round out the top 10, with Virginia Tech, Michigan, and Ohio State starting the back half.

Villanova continued their climb up the rankings after a win over Seton Hall. Maddy Siegrist scored 50 in the game and became the Big East’s all-time regular season scoring leader. The Wildcats, led by Siegrist, are streaking at the right time.

Oklahoma, UCLA, and Texas occupy spots 15 through 17. Texas climbed three spots after wins over Texas Tech and TCU. Arizona’s loss to Stanford moved them down one spot to 18.

North Carolina dropped a week-high five spots after a loss to Syracuse. The Tar Heels have a tough week ahead. They face a now-unranked NC State on the road before welcoming Wake Forest to Chapel Hill.

Gonzaga moved up three spots to 20 despite having only one game. Behind them, Colorado climbed a week-high four spots to 21 after a win over Washington.

Iowa State continued their skid, dropping to 22 after a loss to West Virginia. Florida State matched North Carolina’s five-spot drop after losses to Miami and Virginia Tech.

Two newcomers joined the rankings this week. UNLV, at 24-2, received a ranking for the first time since 1994. USC, at 19-6, came in at number 25.

With USC joining the rankings and NC State falling out, the PAC-12 became the leader in ranked teams at six.
