‘Finally giving the fans what they want’: Errol Spence Jr. and his welterweight rival Terence Crawford confirm their July 29th unification bout, ending YEARS of bickering with the most anticipated fight of 2023

Errol Spence Jr. (28-0, 22 KOs) will square off with welterweight rival Terence Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs) in a highly anticipated unification bout at Las Vegas‘ T-Mobile Arena on July 29, it has been confirmed.

Specifics of the deal such as purse sizes have not been publicized, but the title fight is on the books, giving the sport its most anticipated matchup since Gennady Golovkin first fought Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in 2017.

‘Finally giving the fans what they want!,’ Spence, the reigning WBC, IBF and WBA welterweight champion wrote on Instagram. ‘This one a throwback fight on paper but it could be a one sided ass whooping one of the biggest fight of the century!’

Crawford, the WBO champion considered by many to be the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world, also confirmed the deal, albeit in his own way.

‘Time to reel in the big fish,’ Crawford wrote on Instagram. ‘No more talking.’
