Celebrations erupted inside the AO Arena in Manchester after Tommy Fury was awarded a controversial majority decision to claim victory against KSI

After months of trading insults, the pair finally stepped inside the ring at the AO Arena in Manchester, but it was not the knockout victory that the former Love Island star would have hoped for.

The fight went the full six rounds, with Fury being deducted a point for punching his opponent in the back of the head, but ultimately clinched victory, with two judges scoring 57-56 in his favour, while the third scored a 57-57 draw.

Jubilant scenes erupted around the stadium after the victory was awarded with those close to the Fury team elated with the win.

Fury’s brother, Tyson, who is preparing for his bout against MMA fighter on October 28, was pictured before the fight nervously watching on as his younger brother did battle in the ring.

The former Love Island star has now claimed back-to-back wins against Jake Paul and KSI within the space of 12 months.

But there was plenty of drama afterwards as KSI said he was ‘robbed’ and was seen walking back towards the dressing room dismayed saying ‘Ain’t no way’.

Fans took to social media to brand the fight a ‘sham’ after many viewers were left baffled by the majority decision, with Fury landing only 12 jabs and had a point taken off him.

Even Chris Eubank Jr was left stumped by the decision with the professional fighter claiming the YouTuber ‘boxed better’ than Fury, while Eddie Hearn called the decision ‘horses s***’.

Interestingly, when a picture of the the judges’ cards were posted on social media it seemed that one judge had made a discrepancy in his count. Rafael Ramos had scored his card as a draw but on further inspection he had actually awarded 57 points to Fury and not 56 as it stated, meaning the 23-year-old should have won by unanimous decision.

Despite that Fury admitted he was ‘s***’ and ‘useless’ during the bout, while also admitting he was no longer interested in cross-over fights, despite back tracking claiming that he was still open to a bout between Jake or Logan Paul.

‘A lot went on in the build-up. I’m done with this cross-over s***,’ Fury told in-ring he said to Ariel Helwani.

But he subsequently added: ‘Any of the Pauls want it, I welcome it with open arms’.

Fury is now unbeaten in his previous 10 fights and in a brutally honest interview with IFL TV, he added: ‘Was it my best performance? No, absolutely not.

‘But we knew it was going to be a stink-fest because there was one man who didn’t want to come and fight.

‘Where I come from in the gyms, you stand there and you have a fight. This guy was hopping up and down in the ring and didn’t want to engage.

‘It was a scrappy affair. My dad called it two weeks ago and said it was going to be a messy fight.

‘It was a horrible fight, I’ve not even watched it back and I’m not sure I’ll want to watch it back because I was useless in there tonight but still got the win.

‘On a s*** performance, I still came out with a win.’

Equally he also called out Conor McGregor, claiming that while he was a fan of the MMA star, he would be keen to do battle with the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion.

On the possibility of sharing the ring with the Irishman, he added: ‘I like Conor, I’m not going to slag him off but if Conor wants it next, I’ll happily share the ring with him. I’d like to share the ring with him.’
