Anthony Joshua tipped the scales at 251lbs ahead of Saturday’s bout against Otto Wallin, making him 1lb heavier than his previous fight against Robert Helenius.
Joshua managed to secure a seventh round knockout against Helenius and will be looking to dismantle Wallin in the same way on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Wallin – who is looking to upset the odds against the British heavyweight on Saturday night – weighed in at 238.6lbs.
Deontay Wilder and Joseph Parker also took to the scales on Friday evening. The Bronze Bomber weighed in at 213lbs, while his opponent came in at 245.3lbs.
AJ’s weight has been a topic of conversation ever since he made the step up to professional boxing in 2013.
Fans and pundits have occasionally criticised the British heavyweight for being ‘too big’, ‘too heavy’ and ‘too sluggish’.
Some insist the 34-year-old has bulked up too much since the amateur days when he beat Roberto Cammarelle in 2012 to become Great Britain’s 29th and final gold medallist at London Olympic Games.
Joshua has fluctuated in weight ever since. He has come in at a career heaviest of 255.4lbs for his fight against Franklin.
Joshua decided to cut 5.4lbs for his bout with Helenius, making him 250lbs for the bout which ended in a KO victory for AJ.
Since then, AJ has teamed up with Ben Davison and shared several videos of himself hitting the pads during training.
