Jake Paul has claimed he will send Tommy Fury the contract for their rematch as soon as October.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer was narrowly defeated by Fury via split decision in February but is seemingly poised for another showdown.

But Paul’s revenge has been delayed by his decision to veer off course and clash with former UFC sensation Nate Diaz in the ring in August.

However, he insisted he would face the former Love Island star again as soon as possible as he looks to get the contract to Fury by early October.

‘I’ve asked my team to send tommy fury the contract for rematch as early as October,’ Paul tweeted on Friday.’ Need to handle business on August 5 and then we run it.’

‘185 pounds. 10 rounds. Simple,’ he added.

Paul’s promise comes after the split decision ruling in a close contest ignited rumors of another clash.

However, fans hoping to see the pair square up to each other in the ring were forced to wait for another showdown, with the YouTube star focusing on other fighting opportunities.

Fury claimed earlier this month that Paul had not even reached out to him over another possible tangle in the coming months.

In a video posted on Twitter, Fury is asked if there’d been any contact since that fight. The former Love Island star replies: ‘Nope, not once.’

He added: ‘I think I saw him tweet the other day that he wants to run it back in a year’s time, but as far as I’m concerned, we was meant to be running it back a few months later, like in the rematch.’

Paul had come forward to say that he planned the rematch to take place in February 2024 – although clearly that was without discussing the matter with Fury, who expected it to come sooner than that, as reported previously by the Sun

But he could miss the chance to take on his rival in another grudge match after John Fury, Tommy’s father, revealed that an agreement between his reality-TV-famous son and another YouTube star, KSI, was close.

Negotiations between Fury’s camp and KSI appeared to be coming to their conclusion with details of the highly-anticipated fight reportedly set to be announced shortly.

Both parties have been eager to thrash out a deal with Fury being brought into the ring to face-off with KSI after the latter’s latest fight with Joe Fournier.

The YouTuber eventually had his victory overturned after a post-fight investigation declared that he had accidentally used his elbow against Fournier.

Fury Snr has been involved in securing a bout with KSI’s representatives, the Sauerland brothers, and told Seconds Out that the fight looks set to take place this year.

‘Well, we’re nearly over the line with that one I think,’ said Fury.

‘Me and the Sauerlands, we’re nearly over the line with it. I think it’ll be announced very shortly.

‘Until it’s signed off, nothing’s done, is it? But I’m happy, we’re nearly there. We’ll hopefully get it on this year with him and KSI,’ he added.

KSI – full name, Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji – offered further confirmation that discussions between the two camps are progressing well.

‘I am training for that fight. Negotiations are going back and forth, we’re just waiting on Tommy [Fury] essentially,’ KSI told Misfits Boxing.

‘I’m training, I’m getting ready for that fight, that’s what I want.

‘Because I know as soon as I beat Tommy Fury, Jake Paul’s whole career, his whole legacy’s in the bin, and I will be laughing,’ he added.
