It seems like the Oklahoma Sooners punched themselves out back on Jan. 28. They pounded now No. 1 Alabama, 93-69 in the Big 12/SEC Challenge and then haven’t won since.

That’s an 0-4 stretch including a couple of blowout losses. The Sooners are 12-13 (2-10) good for last place in the Big 12, which is the best conference in college basketball this year. Kansas State is a big reason why that’s the case.

The No. 12 Wildcats are 19-6 (7-5), but have dropped three of their last four games to quality Big 12 opponents. They must be happy to see the Big 12 bottom feeders on their schedule tonight. Here are the odds for K-State and OU in Norman.

Kansas State vs. Oklahoma prediction and pick

OK, let’s be honest about this, staring down the No. 12 team in the country as just a one point favorite against the 2-10 in Big 12 play, Oklahoma Sooners is terrifying. It’s like Vegas is begging us to take the Wildcats.

I get how tough it is to win on the road in this conference, but K-State is the better offensive team by basically every metric, the better defensive team by defensive rating, the better offensive rebounding team, and they play at a faster pace. In most cases it isn’t particularly close.

K-State will also have the best player on the floor with Keyontae Johnson and Markquis Nowell will be the second best player in this game. Maybe Grant Sherfield, OU’s point guard can match Nowell, but either way the Wildcats have a talent advantage. Sure, the Wildcats have lost three of four, but the Sooners have lost four straight.

This feels like a rat line, but I’m going to take the cheese, give me K-State.
