We’re back with more college basketball bets tonight as mid-major conferences are starting their conference tournaments and power conferences are wrapping up their regular season play.

If you’re looking for bets for tonight’s action, you’ve come to the right place.

If you want the full list of best available odds, you can check those out here.

Let’s dive into my top three bets for tonight’s action.

Best college basketball bets today

  • Butler +9.5 vs. Marquette
  • Virginia -6.5 vs. Clemson
  • Texas Tech +9.5 vs. Kansas

Butler +9.5 vs. Marquette

Marquette Golden Eagles @ Butler Bulldogs | Current Best Odds

Fansided

Marquette Golden Eagles
Butler Bulldogs

Marquette is the rightful favorite, but there is enough there for me to take the 9.5-points with Butler.

Marquette is a 3-point shooting team, with 41% of their shots coming from beyond the arc. Now, the Golden Eagles face a Butler team whose defensive strength comes from the perimeter, ranking 69th in opponent three-point field goal percentage, keeping teams to shooting just 32% from three point land.

The opposite is true on the other side of the court. The Bulldogs largely keep their offense to the interior, which is Marquette’s weakness, ranking 229th in opponent two-point field goal percentage.

I’ll take the points with the Bulldogs.

Virginia -6.5 vs. Clemson

Clemson Tigers @ Virginia Cavaliers | Current Best Odds

Fansided

Clemson Tigers
Virginia Cavaliers

Clemson is a great team to bet on when the Tigers are on their own court, but they’re a great fade when they hit the road. Their effective field goal percentage drops 6.7% on the road compared to at home.

Virginia also has a significant advantage in the stat called “effective possession ratio”, ranking 43rd in the country while Clemson is 225th.

I’ll lay the points with the Cavs.

Texas Tech +9.5 vs. Kansas

Texas Tech Red Raiders @ Kansas Jayhawks | Current Best Odds

Fansided

Texas Tech Red Raiders
Kansas Jayhawks

It’s time to sell high on Kansas after winning six-straight games.

If you look at its record, you’re probably going to be surprised to see that Texas Tech is actually the better shooting team, ranking 60th in effective field goal percentage while Kansas ranks 64th.

Texas Tech will also be able to create plenty of second chance scoring opportunities. The Red Raiders rank inside the top 60 in offensive rebounding, while one of the biggest weaknesses for the Jayhawks is defensive rebounding, coming in at 167th.

Texas Tech will make a game out of this and I’ll back them as underdogs.
