The Golden State Warriors look to return to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2019. Here is where the team is located.

The Golden State Warriors are in the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2019, where they lost to the Toronto Raptors in six games. Golden State was the latest powerhouse team in the NBA’s history, as they won the NBA championship in 2015, 2017 and 2018.

They have already gotten out of the first round, defeating Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in five games. Now, they face off against the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference Semi-Finals. This is a Warriors team looking to win their sixth NBA championship overall, and their fourth since 2015.

For those wondering where the Warriors are located, we have you covered.

Golden State Warriors moved from Oakland to San Francisco

The team is called Golden State for the state nickname of California.

The Golden State Warriors are currently based out of San Francisco, Calif. They play at Chase Center, which opened up in 2019.

Prior to the opening of the new arena in San Francisco, the team played at Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. That was Golden State’s home from 1971 until 2019. Before Oracle Arena, the team played at San Francisco Civic Auditorium (1964-66) and the Cow Palace (1962-64, 1966-71).

The team was previously known as the San Francisco Warriors from 1962-71 and the Philadelphia Warriors from 1946-62.
